  • Scholarship Amount: £5,000
  • Eligibility Criteria: Undergraduate students from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives

The Undergraduate South Asia Scholarship is offered by the University of Aberdeen to South Asian students registering for undergraduate programs. These students must not be recipients of other scholarships and grants from the university or external organizations, excluding awards offered by the University of Aberdeen Development Trust.

International students are automatically considered for this scholarship at the University of Aberdeen after submitting their university application forms. There is no separate application form and deadline for this scholarship.

2. The CNOOC International Undergraduate Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: £2,000 per year
  • Eligibility Criteria: Students who will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (Single or Joint Honors program)

The CNOOC International Undergraduate Scholarship is part of the University of Aberdeen’s Entrance Scholarships for undergraduate students. Candidates must have applied for an undergraduate degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and received a conditional or unconditional offer from the university.

Postgraduate Scholarships at University of Aberdeen

1. Aberdeen Global Scholarship

There is no application form and deadline for this scholarship at the University of Aberdeen. Students who are eligible for the scholarship will automatically receive a tuition fee discount of £2,000 upon receiving an unconditional offer from the university.

2. Chevening Scholarships

  • Eligibility Criteria: Students applying for a full-time postgraduate degree in any UK university

Founded in 1983 by the United Kingdom’s global scholarship program and sponsored by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, the Chevening Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students around the world who have demonstrated significant potential in the academe. This prestigious scholarship program has over 44,000 alumni who have established themselves in various industries.

To apply for this scholarship available at the University of Aberdeen, visit the Chevening website and select your country of origin and the corresponding Chevening scholarship for the specified country. Applicants must answer pre-screen questions that will determine their eligibility for a Chevening scholarship before they can create an account. This account will be used to access and submit their online application form.

3. CB Davidson Fund

  • Scholarship Amount: Maximum of £2,500

International students applying for the CB Davidson Fund have 4 categories to choose from. They can either be applicants for a Law degree (PhD or LLM) in the University of Aberdeen, current Law students at the university who are intending to travel abroad for research purposes, faculty member from any higher institution outside UK who wants to lecture at the University of Aberdeen, or faculty members of the university who intends to study foreign law.

The 4 main categories for this scholarship at the University of Aberdeen have separate application forms that can be accessed here. Applicants must submit the form that corresponds to their category, along with the following documents: an official transcript of records, CV, and 2 reference letters.

The application form and supporting documents must be submitted on or before September 30.
