The predecessor of this university was founded in 1915 by Haru Koshihara, a Japanese educator and politician who was elected among the pioneer group of women selected in the house of representatives in 1946. This university follows the path of its founder, whose unofficial slogan is “kindness,” as that is the only way to educate the future of Japan.
