Victoria University Scholarships for International Students

Victoria University defines itself as the University of the West. More than its geographical location in Melbourne’s West, the university takes pride in upholding the values of the WEST for more than 100 years: Welcoming, Ethical, Shaping the Future, Together. Here, we will be looking at the scholarships at Victoria University for international students.

Welcoming. VU features one of the most comprehensive sets of higher education courses in Australia. It is proud to be one of six universities in the country to be a dual-sector university – offering both vocational and academic-based courses from summer courses, polytechnic to doctoral courses, and necessary pathways in between. It also welcomes different ways of learning through its award-winning block model, allowing students to focus solely on a course for a month at a time. This provides greater flexibility for students in commanding their university progress, improved classroom engagement, and better grades.

Ethical. VU’s values are aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals, with recognition as the top 10th school for Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions worldwide. It is also appreciative and respectful of its history and pays tribute to its heritage, establishing the Moondani Balluk Indigenous Academic Unit which promotes indigenous teaching, research, and community support.

Shaping the Future, Together. Research is a key pillar in VU, with a special focus on planetary health and how to develop this sustainably. This is then complemented by strong community engagement locally and regionally. Recognizing its role in developing leaders of the future, the university has established the VU Academy for Social Change Leadership, a hub for social impact programs for entrepreneurship, innovation, and other 21st-century skills.

The University of the West has the rankings to show for such an esteemed title. The university places among the top 2% of universities worldwide, and is recognized for its ‘well above world standard’ research. With its quality education, VU enjoys the reputation of producing highly engaged students that become the most employable graduates in Australia.

Allow the culture of the West to shape your educational journey through these scholarships. Note that for all Victoria University scholarships, these cannot be used in conjunction with other organization scholarships:
