Undergraduate Scholarships at University of Wollongong

1. University of Wollongong Diplomat Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: 30% Tuition fee reduction.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Open to all nationals. This scholarship is eligible for students that have received admission into most Bachelor’s degrees at the University of Wollongong. The applicant must also provide excellent results from their previous years of study. Lastly, the applicant must hold an Australia Diplomatic visa in order to be considered eligible.

This University of Wollongong scholarship is valid for any Bachelor’s degree excluding, Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work, and Psychology. It is also only valid for full-time studies.

Rewarded applicants will be required to maintain a specific minimum grade average to stay eligible for the scholarship. Failure to do will result in scholarship termination.

There will be no separate application for this scholarship. Eligible candidates will be assessed and rewarded upon enrollment at the university.

2. University of Wollongong Faculty of Science, Medicine, and Health International Schools Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: 50% Tuition fee reduction.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Open to Indian nationals that are residing in India. Eligible applicants must have achieved a minimum average of 85% in their final Indian High School diploma. The applicant must have also received an offer of admission into a Bachelor’s degree in the Science, Medicine, and Health faculty of the university.

The student must be a high school graduate from any of the partner high schools of the university in India. This is a highly competitive scholarship, with only two scholarships awarded for each partner high school.

All applications must be mailed or emailed to the University of Wollongong by September 30th. Awarded applicants will be expected to fulfill a student ambassadorial role to represent the University of Wollongong.

3. University Excellence Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: 30% Tuition fee reduction.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Open to all nationals. Interested applicants must have applied and received admission into any Bachelor’s degree at the University of Wollongong. The applicant must also provide documents showing excellent academic achievement.

This scholarship at the University of Wollongong is applicable throughout the duration of the student’s course of study, on the condition that they meet the minimum grade requirement. If the student is unable to meet these conditions, the scholarship will be revoked, and the student will be responsible for reimbursing the university.

There is no separate application for this scholarship. Eligible applicants will automatically be considered and awarded the scholarship upon admission into the university.

Postgraduate Scholarships at University of Wollongong

1. University of Wollongong Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: 30% Tuition fee reduction.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Open to all nationals. Applicants must have received an offer of admission into any Master’s degree at the University of Wollongong. They must also possess excellent academic records with a minimum weighted average of 75. Additionally, the applicant must not already be receiving any other scholarship or form of financial aid.

This University of Wollongong scholarship may be renewed yearly until the student finishes their course of study, so long as, they are able to consistently meet the grade requirement. Once the scholarship is terminated, the student may not apply for the scholarship again.

There will be no separate application for this scholarship. Applicants will immediately be assessed for eligibility upon application for admission. Eligible applicants will automatically be awarded this scholarship once they accept the offer of admission.

2. University of Wollongong Alumni Postgraduate Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: 10% Tuition fee reduction.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Open to international and domestic students. The applicant will be considered if they are a previous alumni of the University of Wollongong, were able to maintain a credit average of 65 throughout the duration of their study, and have received admission into any full-time Postgraduate degree offered by the university.

There will be no separate application form for this University of Wollongong scholarship. Eligible applicants will immediately be awarded the scholarship. The university encourages interested applicants to reach out to the university postgraduate inquiries team for more information on the scholarship.

Australian applicants may apply for Commonwealth support offered by the Australian government for more tuition fee reductions.

3. China Bursary – Including Hong Kong and Macau

  • Scholarship Amount: 10% Tuition fee reduction.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Open to Chinese citizens only.

The bursary is applicable to all Master’s degrees, with some exclusions.

There will be no separate application required for this bursary. Students who apply for admission into the University of Wollongong while holding a Chinese citizenship will be automatically be awarded.
