As a merit-based scholarship grant, applicants will be ranked based on the general weighted average of their best three or six Grade 12 subjects, equivalent to Canadian U and M level grades. Since applicants may receive their admission notices even before the end of their final high school year, a review of their applications will only commence once the admissions office has received their final grades.

Once ranked, the Student Awards & Financial Aid Office will select a handful of applicants qualified to receive the scholarship grant. The number of slots available will depend on the fiscal budget allocated for this specific scholarship. Qualified applicants will receive a notification to receive their scholarship offer via email. Upon acceptance, students may receive a scholarship grant from the University of Windsor in the form of a tuition fee waiver, amounting to $1,000 to $16,000 per year. 2. Barkleys of Avonmore Bursary

Founded by Mr. Fred Barkley in 1979, the Barkleys of Avonmore Bursary is a scholarship grant open to full-time undergraduate international students finishing at least two terms in a Bachelor’s degree program at the University of Windsor. Grantees of this scholarship grant must demonstrate academic excellence despite being financially disadvantaged. This scholarship at the University of Windsor has supported many international students and remains the primary bursary program for international students with financial needs.

Applicants interested in applying for this scholarship must be international students from a third-world country. Further delineating the definition, third world countries, now termed as developing countries, have a less developed industrial base and a relatively low human development index. The applicants should reach out to the Student Awards & Financial Aid Office before applying to verify if their countries are considered third-world countries.

Supporting students who, for some reason, are unable to enroll full-time in an undergraduate degree program, the Organization of Part-time University Students (OPUS) offers a bursary specific to international students.

The Part-Time Undergraduate International Student Bursaries are a one-time bursary offered exclusively to international students taking an undergraduate program at Windsor. It is offered annually to all qualifying students, with the number of grantees varying from year to year, depending on the demand and financial resources determined by the OPUS Board of Directors.

As a merit-based and need-based scholarship program at the University of Windsor, part-time undergraduate student-applicants will be screened based on their academic performance and financial need. The organization emphasizes that the scholarship requires strict financial and academic standards, such as above-average grade point averages and demonstrated need for financial assistance. Postgraduate Scholarships at University of Windsor
