1. UTS Vice-Chancellor’s International Undergraduate Scholarship

Known to be one of the highly coveted scholarships in the University of Technology Sydney, the Vice-Chancellor’s International Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded to applicants with a competent academic background and excellent communications skills to articulate personal and professional outlook towards the degree. The selection committee will only select two grantees for the academic year, which, as specified in their site, demonstrates best the commitment to excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship, and social justice.

Interested applicants holding an offer for a full-time undergraduate degree may submit their applications online through their Online Scholarship Application site. Submitted applications will then be carefully reviewed by a selection committee based on the applicant’s academic merit and their responses to the questions asked in the online application.

A notification will be sent to successful applicants by the selection committee via writing and will be asked to accept the scholarship offer upon satisfactory completion of the terms and conditions of the scholarship.

2. Undergraduate Academic Excellence International Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: 25% of tuition scholarship for the standard course duration
  • Eligibility Criteria: Australian Year 12 (or equivalent) graduate International Students holding an offer for a full-time Undergraduate Degree

To attract well-performing international students to enroll in undergraduate coursework in the University of Technology Sydney, the Undergraduate Academic Excellence International Scholarship is offered to eligible applicants with distinguished academic merit on their Australian Year 12 level or an equivalent.

This scholarship at the University of Technology Sydney is automatically offered to eligible students upon their enrollment to the university. Annually, the selection committee grants a 25% tuition fee reduction through this scholarship program to at least 55 applicants showing remarkable academic performance prior to their undergraduate studies. 3. UTS Enrolled Nurse International Scholarship

With an extensive global network of educational institutions, the Australian Quality Framework (AQF) has been adapted in different countries offering various diploma programs including Nursing. And in acknowledgment of the increasing demand for Australian nursing education, the University of Technology Sydney offered an Enrolled Nurse International Scholarship program granted to applicants based on academic merit in their diploma tutelage.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be a holder of an AQF Diploma in Nursing and have secured an offer for an accelerated Bachelor’s program in Nursing. Eligible applicants are welcomed to submit their applications online, through the Online Scholarship Application site. Ten (10) successful applicants will be selected to receive a 25% tuition scholarship throughout their study.

Postgraduate Scholarships at University of Technology Sydney

1. UTS Grant for Masters by Coursework Students

  • Scholarship Amount: $3,000 towards the first session tuition fees
  • Eligibility Criteria: International students completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Australia
  • Degree Offered: Master’s Degree by Coursework

The University of Technology Sydney takes pride in being a home to international students finishing their undergraduate degrees in Australia. And to further incentivize those students to continue their studies in Australia, the university offers a scholarship grant for applicants securing an offer to a Masters by Coursework degree.

The University of Technology Sydney offers this grant to 350 eligible applicants, providing them with a one-time $3,000 tuition fee discount on their first year of study in their chosen Masters by Coursework degree. Recipients are required to take their Master’s degree full-time unless granted by the university a clearance for a reduced load.

There will be no separate application required for this University of Technology Sydney scholarship, with eligible students automatically receiving a tuition fee reduction upon admission to graduate school. However, this scholarship shall not be taken in conjunction with other internal scholarships, whose detailed list can be found in the scholarship’s terms and conditions.

2. UTS President’s Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: Full tuition scholarship with living allowance and coverage to other academic expenses
  • Eligibility Criteria: An International Student with an offer for a full-time Higher Degree by Research (HDR) degree
  • Degree Offered: Higher Degree by Research – both Masters and Doctorate Degrees

As an academic institution with robust and reputable research programs, the University of Technology Sydney encourages exceptional research-driven international students in taking a Higher Degree by Research by offering the highly-regarded UTS President’s Scholarship.

Like other HDR scholarships, the UTS President’s Scholarship offers a full-tuition scholarship alongside full coverage on academic expenses and a living allowance ranging from $14,000 – $28,000 annually. With these generous privileges offered for scholarship grantees, the selection process for eligible students is competitive.

Faculties have the freedom to standardize a pointing system to grade applications based on their academic background and research capabilities. Applicants’ publications records and the linearity of their proposed research project to the collective research agenda of the University of Technology Sydney are also taken into account.

For international students holding full-time coursework on any postgraduate degrees, the University of Technology Sydney offers a postgraduate counterpart of the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship to incentivize students with commendable academic performance on their undergraduate degrees.

Interested applicants with an overall average of 90% in their Bachelor’s degree are encouraged to submit their applications online through the Online Scholarship Applications for UTS Vice-Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Coursework Scholarship. Applications will be screened based on their academic background and their ability to articulate career and personal aspirations through the answers provided in the questions found in the online application.

Successful applicants will be notified and will accept a full-tuition scholarship for the standard duration of their coursework upon acceptance of the scholarship offer.
