Undergraduate Scholarships at University of St. Gallen

1. Excellence Scholarships

  • Scholarship Amount: Full tuition waiver.
  • Eligibility Criteria: International students enrolled in University of St. Gallen Bachelor’s courses.

The University of St. Gallen offers Excellence Scholarships to international students enrolled in Bachelor’s courses. The scholarship is merit-based, and applications are on an invite-only basis as assessed by excellent academic performance. Interested invitees must submit an application and additional documentation to be considered for this University of St. Gallen scholarship.

Accepted scholars will receive a grant equal to six semesters of tuition fees.

2. Partial or total remission of tuition fees

3. Swiss Study Foundation Scholarships

  • Eligibility Criteria: Incoming or current Bachelor’s students; aged 28 or below; GPA of at least 5.3 or equivalent; Knowledge of at least two official languages; Social commitment, intellectual curiosity, and creativity.

The Swiss Study Foundation is an independent organization that supports high potential students in a variety of ways – one of which is through scholarships. Applicants must be aged 28 years old and below with a GPA of at least 5.3 or equivalent, and know at least two out of Switzerland’s four official languages. He must also possess social commitment, intellectual curiosity, and creativity. Incoming and current bachelor students may apply for this scholarship available at the University of St. Gallen, so long as they are at least three semesters until graduation.

Application forms can be downloaded here. After an initial assessment, candidates will be asked to attend a whole day seminar consisting of individual and group interviews. A panel of experts from education, business, and society will screen the final list of applicants.

Accepted applicants are expected to maintain a GPA of 5.3 or equivalent during university, and participate in social programs as well as events and mentorship programs of the Swiss Study Foundation. An annual report to the foundation is also expected to monitor students’ progress.

1. Starr International Foundation Scholarship Fund

  • Scholarship Amount: 20,000 CHF
  • Eligibility Criteria: International students with foreign-recognized Bachelor’s degree courses applying to the university’s English-language programs.

The Starr International Foundation Scholarship Fund is a yearly fund offered by the University of St. Gallen. These are available to high-potential students applying for Master’s degrees in any of the university’s English-language programs. This scholarship available at the University of St. Gallen is merit-based and invitations to apply are given out by the Advice Center for Study Funding. 2. Study a Master’s in Europe Scholarship

Educations.com is granting one international scholar a one-time subsidy of 5,000 EUR to fund his Master’s study. The organization is looking for a candidate who is excellent in academics and extracurriculars, globally-minded, and self-motivated. Interested applicants must fill up a form and a 400-500 word essay. Note that only English essays will be accepted. It would be helpful for applicants to have a copy of their acceptance letter, transcript of records, and valid IDs on hand should they be considered as finalists. The winner must confirm acceptance within three days of the scholarship offer for the scholarship to be valid.

3. FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship Program

  • Scholarship Amount: 20,000 USD
  • Eligibility Criteria: International students enrolled in a finance graduate-level program at an accredited university.
  • Degree Offered: Master’s, Ph.D.

FINCAD is an organization that creates analytics tools to provide expert advice on derivatives and finance to businesses and individuals. It also contributes to gender equality by providing scholarship opportunities to women interested in pursuing finance graduate courses. Only one scholarship is awarded each year to a female international student enrolled in a finance graduate-level program at an accredited university. As of 2022, this scholarship available at the University of St. Gallen is valued at 20,000 USD – half to the student, and the other given straight to the institution to subsidize tuition costs.
