The University of Pavia, or UNIPV, is a prestigious university that can be found in the beautiful town of Pavia in Lombardy, Italy. It is one of the oldest universities in the world, with its establishment all the way back in 1361. Interestingly, it doesn’t have one main campus, but instead, it features many of its 18 departments and faculties scattered all around the city. Here, we will be looking at the University of Pavia scholarships for international students. Currently, it boasts over 80 undergraduate programs and more than 40 master’s programs to choose from!

It is also quite a small university with only 20,000 students overall. This is perfect for students that easily get overwhelmed by big student populations. This is also an excellent choice for international students that want a touch of history for their university. They will gain access to a rich history and high-quality education.

Undergraduate Scholarships at University of Pavia

1. Fee Waivers

  • Scholarship Amount: Full tuition fees excluding regional tax
  • Eligibility Criteria: The applicant must have received their previous qualification from one of the countries listed in the scholarship call form. The applicant must also pass the University of Pavia’s Foundation Year Program.

There are several calls a year wherein they accept applications for this scholarship at the University of Pavia. All applications must be completed online and be submitted before the deadlines for each call. Please refer to the scholarship call poster for more information on the dates as they vary each year.

2. Ente per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario (EDiSU) Scholarships

  • Scholarship Amount: Amount will be based upon the student’s financial need
  • Eligibility Criteria: This scholarship is also open to all international students enrolled at the University of Pavia. The student must meet the merit-based requirements and be able to provide proof of financial need.

Applications must be completed online and submitted before the deadline of August 22nd.

Students that do not meet the income-based requirements or are unable to provide proof of financial need may apply for an accommodation scholarship instead. The same deadline will be observed.

Postgraduate Scholarships at University of Pavia

1. Invest Your Talent in Italy Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: Full or Partial tuition fee exemption
  • Eligibility Criteria: Open to international students from selected countries. Please refer to the scholarship website for more information on the list of eligible countries. The applicant must provide all their final transcripts from their previous Bachelor’s degree. They must also provide proof of proficiency in the English and Italian languages and an Application essay video in English explaining why the applicant believes they should be a part of the program. Applicants will also be required to include their updated Resume and passport.
  • Degree Offered: Master’s

This University of Pavia scholarship will also include a 3-4 month internship at an Italian company and Italian language courses for those that need it. This scholarship is only compatible with 4 courses.

All applications must be completed online and submitted on or before March 26th.

2. Educations.com Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: Up to €5,000
  • Eligibility Criteria: Open to all international students that are not a citizen of Italy. The applicant must have applied and received admission into the University of Pavia. The applicant must also hold or is eligible for a study visa and is not currently living in Italy. Applicants must also be considered academically excellent and are involved in extracurricular activities.

This is a highly competitive scholarship at the University of Pavia with only one applicant to be awarded every application round.

The application must be completed in English and submitted online before the deadline of May 16th. Applicants will also be required to submit a short essay on why they chose Italy as the country to study in and how it will help them grow as a leader.
