2. Merit-based Scholarships for International Students

3. Besio Family Scholarship

The Besio Family Scholarship is reserved for any undergraduate student accepted into the College of Engineering or the Mendoza College of Business. The scholarship award is renewable annually for up to four years. Recipients of this award must have excellent academic achievement and a commitment to leadership and service.

Scholars must maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average while under the scholarship. Additionally, they must be n good academic and disciplinary standing to maintain their scholarship status.

4. The Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program

• Scholarship Amount: $25,000 coverage of tuition and $20,000 for the Summer Enrichment Experience

This scholarship is awarded to all international students at the University of Notre Dame with excellent academic standing regardless of undergraduate degrees.

Interested applicants must demonstrate superior academic achievement and commitment to leadership and service. The ideal candidate will have exemplary character and personal achievement.

Scholars of the program are required to complete four Summer Enrichment Programs while under the scholarship. These summer experiences are designed to allow scholars an opportunity to develop their interests outside the academic year. Scholars will receive $5,000 per summer experience to fund their eight-week engagements.

5. University Presidential Fellowship in Humanities and Social Sciences

• Scholarship Amount: Living stipend of $29,000, Full tuition, health insurance

This prestigious scholarship at the University of Notre Dame is reserved for prospective graduate students taking up humanities and social sciences. The fellowship is awarded to demonstrate exceptional academic promise as well as strong academic achievement in their undergraduate degree.

Fellows of the University Presidential Fellowship will receive a stipend of $29,000 within 12 months for up to five years.

All accepted students in a Ph.D. Degree in the Humanities and Social Sciences will be considered automatically for the fellowship.

6. Richard and Peggy Notebaert Premier Fellowship

Stipends awarded for assistantships can range from $25,000 to $34,000 per year. The stipend is awarded within nine months or a year. Awards will depend on the program of the graduate student. Aside from assistantships, the Office of Grants and Fellowship assists graduate students to ensure their financial needs are covered while completing a degree.
