The University of Navarra is a private research institution in Spain, considered to be one of the most prestigious in the country. There are six campuses located around Spain, Germany, and one is even in New York, so there are plenty of travel options available for the adventurers out there. However, the main campuses are on the southeast border of Spain in Pamplona. The University of Navarra offers a wide range of scholarships for many international students each year.

University of Navarra Scholarships

Undergraduate Scholarships at University of Navarra

1. Alumni Scholarship Program

  • Scholarship Amount: currently unspecified
  • Eligibility Criteria: have less than €18,000 family income per year, achieved more than 8.5 in the final year of high school (or equivalent), and currently studying at the University of Navarra

This University of Navarra scholarship aims to help those who may struggle to afford their time studying at the university. In which case, you should be able to prove that your family income is below €18,000 per year. Applications are to be submitted through the university’s online portal.

The second condition of this scholarship relates to academic performance. They are looking to give the award to students with excellent academic records in high school, achieving more than 8.5 in the final year of high school. If you are not from Spain, you will need to convert this amount to one that applies to your home country.

2. Mobility Scholarships from TECNUN School of Engineering

  • Scholarship Amount: up to 40% tuition fee discount
  • Eligibility Criteria: must be living outside the family home during the course, have less than €18,000 family income per year, and more than 8.5 in the final year of high school (or equivalent). Your degree must also be within the School of Engineering.

If you are living away from home (which is the case for all international students) then this scholarship could provide you with a substantial tuition fee discount. You can get up to 40% off depending on your personal circumstances and if you are a student of the Engineering School within the university.

To acquire this scholarship available at the University of Navarra, you must provide a brief report that outlines your reasoning for requiring the financial help. You should also provide income tax returns from each member of your family to prove your annual household income is below €18,000.

3. D. Ernesto Fernandez Holmann – University of Navarra scholarship program

  • Scholarship Amount: currently unspecified
  • Eligibility Criteria: for students with residence in Nicaragua and less than €20,000 family income per year

If you hold residence in Nicaragua and want to study at the University of Navarra, then this scholarship can provide you with financial help. It was the dream of D. Ernesto Fernandez Holmann to make it possible for students from Nicaragua, who would struggle to acquire the financial resources, to attend the university.

This University of Navarra scholarship is also for master’s degree students. The award can be extended for more than just one year if students can pass all their courses. Hopefuls must apply through the school’s website and successful applicants will be invited to an interview.

Postgraduate Scholarships at University of Navarra

1. Santander Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: 20% tuition fee discount
  • Eligibility Criteria: hold residence in a Spanish, European, or Latin American country
  • Degree Offered: Master’s

Santander has teamed up with the University of Navarra to offer financial assistance to master’s students of any subject. So, if you are studying a course at either the Pamplona, San Sebastian, or Madrid campus at the university, then you could be eligible. You also need to hold residency in either a Spanish, European, or Latin American country to receive the 20% tuition fee discount.

2. Enrique Alcat Scholarships

  • Scholarship Amount: 50% tuition fee discount
  • Eligibility Criteria: studying for a master’s degree in Political and Corporate Communication
  • Degree Offered: Master’s
  • Scholarship Link

If your master’s degree is in Political and Corporate Communication, then you could be entitled to 50% off your tuition fees. Enrique Alcat, the scholarship’s namesake, was both a student and a professor at the university. He left the money to give students the chance to attend the university he loved so much.

3. School of Science Research Grants

  • Scholarship Amount: up to €400 per month for 10 months
  • Eligibility Criteria: students studying for a master’s degree at the School of Engineering
  • Degree Offered: Master’s

Students within the School of Engineering are eligible to receive €400 per month for the ten academic months of their course. This scholarship is open to students from anywhere around the globe. There is an application form (in Spanish) on the university’s website. You will need to complete this and submit it alongside a CV and an academic transcript to be considered.
