MaMaSELF is one of the Erasmus Mundus Junior Master Degrees (EMJMDs) delivered through the partnership of various institutions across Europe. It is a Master’s course in Materials Science that results in multiple master’s degrees after two-year. The course focuses on energy application and materials science. Six universities make up the consortium that delivers MaMaSELF, one of which is the University of Montpellier. UM, and the other universities have a solid background in materials science and large-scale facilities.

The applicant for this University of Montpellier scholarship must not have conducted any main activity for more than 12 months in the EU or participating countries for the last five years to qualify for this scholarship. For the application, one must create an account through this site and fill an application form. Then, they must submit their bachelor’s degree, transcripts, English competencies certificate, reference letters, and passport. 2. EMJD Scholarship – MEME (Category A)

One of the programs under EMJDs is the Erasmus Mundus Master Programme in Evolutionary Biology (MEME), which results in double degrees from two European partner universities. Students may spend their second semester in UM, and after which they can choose a partner university for their research conduct.

To apply for the program, students must submit a letter of motivation, curriculum vitae, copy of their passport’s first page, academic records, certification of proficiency in English, application form, and MEME reference form. 3. Alexandre Yersin Scholarship

The French government has been granting, since 2000, scholarships to students from Hong Kong and Macau through the Alexandre Yersin Scholarship to entice them to pursue their master’s program in France. There are specific fields that scholars must pursue (agronomy, biology, computer science, etc.).
