Scholarship value:

  • 100% fee remission for the duration of 3 years of undergraduate degree

Eligibility criteria:

All international students who are not citizens or permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand, have received an offer to pursue an undergraduate course at the university and have an outstanding high school academic record are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Application process:

This University of Melbourne scholarship program does not have an alternative application process. Students are considered for this course along with their application and will be notified of the decision immediately after receiving an offer to study at the university.

 

2. Trinity College International Scholarships

The university is comprised of 10 key residential colleges, such as Trinity College and Newman College, each of which sometimes operate their own funding programs. The value of the scholarship is determined on an individual basis but the typical value ranges from $5000 to $30,000.

Eligibility criteria:

All international students, including both undergraduate and postgraduate students, who are successfully enrolled at the university as well as being a resident of Trinity College are eligible to apply for this University of Melbourne scholarship. Additionally, applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong commitment towards making a positive contribution back to the community.

Application process:

Students are required to manually apply for this application by going on the Trinity College website and filling in the application form.

 

3. Bachelor of Commerce Global Scholarships

The value includes a full fee offset for up to 2 years for Masters students and up to 4 years for doctoral students. Eligibility criteria:

Both Australian domestic and international students who have received an offer and gained admission into a graduate research program are eligible for this scholarship.

Application process:

2. Science Graduate Scholarships

This scholarship program is an example of a departmental scholarship. Offered specifically to graduate students pursuing a degree in the field of science, the program is also given for students showing high academic achievements. Approximately 50-100 scholarships are offered on an annual basis.

Package includes a one-off tuition fee remission of up to $10,000.

Eligible degree:

Masters and doctoral students

Eligibility criteria:

Only international students who have applied for a fulltime postgraduate degree at the university within a specific degree under the field of science. Qualifying degrees are stated on the scholarship page. Applicants are selected based on academic potential.

Application process:

There is no alternative application process. Students are automatically considered when applying for admission.

 

3. Melbourne School of Engineering Scholarships

The School of Engineering at the university offers a University of Melbourne scholarship program that is carried out on a bi-annual basis. It is primarily offered to all prospective Masters students who are to study at the School of Engineering and is further provided on the basis of high standards of academic merit.

Scholarship value:

The total value of the scholarship varies between $5000 to $20,000. It is paid in half-yearly instalments for the normal, full-time duration for a maximum of two years.
