The Presidential Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship at CU Boulder for first-year non-residents and international students of CU Boulder. Recipients of this scholarship will receive $15,000 per year on their first and second years and $12,500 per year on their junior and senior years, receiving a total of $55,000 for four years.
In addition, they can also apply for add-on scholarships from CU Boulder’s programs and departments, such as the Arts and Humanities, Environmental Design, and the College of Media, Communication, and Information. However, they are no longer eligible for the CU Boulder Chancellor’s Achievement Scholarship if selected for the Presidential Scholarship.
3. Arts and Humanities Merit Scholarship

Newly admitted first-year non-resident and international students studying Arts and Humanities courses are eligible for this merit-based CU Boulder scholarship, given that they are also recipients of either the CU Boulder Chancellor’s Achievement Scholarship or the Presidential Scholarship.
The scholarship’s eligible majors are the following: Art History, Asian Studies, Chinese, Classics, Dance, English, Film Studies, French, German Studies, History, Humanities, Italian, Japanese, Jewish Studies, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Russian Studies, Spanish, Art Practices, Theatre. Furthermore, scholars will receive $3,000 per year for a total of $12,000 for four years.
4. Graduate School Awards and Grants

CU Boulder offers various scholarships for their graduate studies—both Master’s and Ph.D. Grants and awards are the primary sources of student support, aside from fellowships and assistantships. The types of grants are research grants, completion fellowships, travel grants, and training grants. Each of these gives opportunities for graduate students to complete their studies.
