The Generation Google Scholarship (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) is a scholarship funded by the technological giant, Google. It allows students from all over the world to study in prestigious universities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. These students should be involved in computer sciences, computer engineering, or any other closely related course. This scholarship aims to help the next generation of computer scientists excel and flourish in their chosen fields.

Google is passionate about the representation of minority groups, particularly in the technological field. Women and other members of minorities are highly encouraged to apply. The candidate must not only display the skill and potential to be successful in their fields, but must also have a passion for representation, leadership, and management. This will be evident throughout the application process.

The application for the Generation Google Scholarship is done online. It consists of several steps. You will need to fill out basic information about yourself, such as your contact details and some information on your current and intended universities (i.e., Technion Israel Institute of Technology). You will also be asked to upload several documents including your comprehensive resume with a list of all your relevant histories; transcripts of records from your current and past universities, and a reference letter from a professor, instructor, employer, or instructor.

Postgraduate Scholarships at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology

1. Israeli Government Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: partial tuition fee, monthly allowance for 8 months, and/or basic health insurance

    • must be under 35 years old and a citizen of any of the eligible countries listed here
    • must have a bachelor’s degree or higher with honors
    • must meet the academic requirements needed for Technion Israel Institute of Technology including proof of English or Hebrew proficiency

The Israeli Government Scholarship is funded by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This scholarship available at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology is awarded to deserving international students who wish to study in Israel. This is an agreement between Israel and several countries in the hopes of forging international relations and advertising Israel’s higher education institutions. The Israeli Government Scholarship is offered in full or partial. The full scholarship offers partial funding of up to 50% of the total tuition fee and a maximum offer of $6000. The partial scholarship will receive no such financial aid. Both levels of the scholarship, however, will receive a monthly allowance for the entire academic year and basic health insurance. One academic year lasts eight months in Israel, and this should be suitable for most postgraduate degrees. All other expenses such as airfare to and from Israel will be the student’s responsibility.

To apply for the Israeli Government Scholarship, you must first download the application form. A PDF version can be found here. In this form, you will need to fill out general information about yourself, as well as attach a recent photograph. You will also need to list down your current universities and indicate your desired postgraduate course. There is also a section dedicated to your medical history, so make sure to have your doctor ready to fill this out for you.

Other than the application form, you will also need a letter of motivation. Explain why you wish to study at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology and how this will help you on your career path. Also indicate why you have chosen to study in Israel. You will also need certified copies of your grades, a comprehensive resume, a copy of your diploma, your unconditional acceptance letter from the university, at least two professional reference letters from professors or instructors, and a certificate of health.

All of these forms should be completed in English. You will need to submit three copies of all of them and submit them to the Israeli embassy in your country by the date indicated on the scholarship link. The embassy will be taking it from there and will notify you if your application has been successful around mid-year.
