The Swinburne International Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship is the primary scholarship and bursary program for the Swinburne University of Technology undergraduate international students. This scholarship provides financial aid to international students with demonstrated academic excellence in their secondary school studies.

This scholarship is open to all international students with an offer to any bachelor’s degree except Bachelor of Aviation and Piloting and the Bachelor of Aviation and Piloting – Bachelor of Business double degree. Enrolled as international students, applicants must be a citizen of any country except Australia and New Zealand. Being a merit-based scholarship at the Swinburne University of Technology, applicants must have at least 60% GPA Australian standard equivalent.

As an entrance scholarship, all international students are automatically screened for eligibility to receive the scholarship grant. Admission requirements are sufficient to rank students based on their academic merit in their secondary studies. Successful applicants will be notified to accept the scholarship grant via email.

Upon acceptance, grantees will receive a tuition fee reduction from 10% up to 75% depending on the evaluation of the Scholarships Office and the required fees for their chosen program. They can receive the tuition fee waiver for a maximum of five years, subject to renewal conditions. This scholarship offer shall also not be accepted in conjunction with other internally and externally funded scholarship grants.

An alumnus of Mechanical Engineering at Swinburne University, Greig Connel has been one of the leaders of engineering recruitment in Australia for many years, specifically automotive recruitment. Being the director of Australia Wide Personnel, Greig manifests passion about providing opportunities to automotive mechanical engineers and bridging them to a vast network of recruitment agencies. In memory of his passing, the Swinburne University of Technology offers the Greig Connell Memorial Scholarship to support female students interested in Mechanical Engineering.

Applicants interested in this Swinburne University of Technology scholarship program must be currently enrolled in either Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) with a major in mechanical or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours – Professional) with a major in mechanical programs. This scholarship exclusively accepts applications from female students and must also demonstrate financial need.

3. The Stanley Liebich Memorial Scholarship

Dedicated to supporting articulating graduates of an associate degree in Engineering to a bachelor’s degree counterpart, the Swinburne University of Technology offers the Stanley Leibich Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship program is offered in memory of Stanley Ormon Crossley Liebich, an Australian engineering pioneer.

As a program-specific scholarship grant at the Swinburne University of Technology, applicants for this scholarship should be associate degree graduates in any engineering specializations and currently holds a degree offer to a full-time engineering bachelor’s degree offered in the Swinburne University of Technology. This scholarship is also a need-based scholarship, which selects applicants with demonstrated financial need.

Interested applicants must prepare a duly filled application form, a 500-word personal statement demonstrating personal and financial setbacks in taking their bachelor’s degree, and proof of financial need. The Swinburne International Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship is one of the primary internal scholarships and bursaries programs offered to international students with an admission offer to a full-time postgraduate degree in Swinburne University of Technology.

International students with admission offer to any master’s degree by coursework program may apply for this scholarship. As a merit-based scholarship program, applicants shall display academic excellence, with a minimum 60% Australian grade point average or equivalent. Applicants should also pass the admission requirements needed for their degree program of choice.

As an entrance scholarship program at the Swinburne University of Technology, students applying for any master’s by coursework degree will be automatically screened for eligibility to receive the scholarship grant. Upon acceptance of the scholarship offer, Selected students will receive a 10 – 75% tuition fee waiver depending on the evaluation of the scholarships committee. Applicants from the Master of Science (Network Systems) Program will receive a tuition fee waiver of A$2500 towards your program, A$1000 for the first year, and A$1500 for the second year.
