Undergraduate Scholarships at Sapienza University of Rome

1. Exams Bonus Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: Varies
  • Eligibility Criteria: Top grades since the first year of study (minimum number of tests needed to be included).

A scholarship that aims to financially incentivize excellent exam scores, the Exams Bonus Scholarship rewards consistently excellent students with high marks with a tuition fee reduction for the year. What makes this more challenging is that the scholarship needs a minimum number of test scores to qualify, spanning from the first year of study. Students across the same course will be force ranked, and only top students will receive the scholarship.

This Sapienza University of Rome scholarship is automatically awarded. Students may find out if they were awarded the scholarship and its amount during the end of the school year on the InfoStud Platform.

2. Honors Programs Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: Tuition waiver of the final year of study.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Interested students who fit program criteria (found per call).

Available for students who wish to go beyond their usual curriculum, the Honors Programs Scholarship provides interested students with supplementary educational modules and cultural integration activities. Upon program completion, students will receive a special certificate and a tuition waiver for their final year of study.

3. Student Collaboration Scholarship

Students who can spare some extra time for community service may apply for Sapienza’s Student Collaboration Scholarship. Interested students may apply in the Calls in Progress database here. To qualify, students must have already finished their first year at Sapienza, and are willing to collaborate with university facilities such as libraries, laboratories, and information centers. Part-time work is given in 4-hour shifts, with a total of 150 hours per program. Upon completion, students will receive payment of 1,095 EUR.

Postgraduate Scholarships at Sapienza University of Rome

1. Don’t Miss Your Chance Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: 4,300 EUR
  • Eligibility Criteria: non-Italian international students enrolling in Master’s degree program at Sapienza; Passing SAT scores
  • Degree Offered: Master’s

Sapienza’s coveted international scholarship grants only 11 scholarships for select Master’s degree students valued at 4,300 EUR, good for two years of Master’s degree study. This Sapienza University of Rome scholarship value is at gross, before deductions of withholding taxes paid by the student and the university. Non-Italian citizens residing in EU and non-EU countries are welcome to apply, so long as they are enrolled in the university for Master’s degree programs with a Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) certificate issued by the College Board indicating a passing score.

2. Wanted The Best Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: 3,000 EUR.
  • Eligibility Criteria: International students enrolled in Sapienza’s Master’s courses; aged 24 and below; undergraduate GPA of 105/110 (cum laude honors) or equivalent.

Available for a greater number of potential students, the Wanted The Best Scholarship awards 85 scholarships to high-achieving Master’s degree international students aged 24 years old and below. These students must have finished their undergraduate degrees outside Sapienza with a grade point average of at least 105/110, or cum laude honors equivalent.

Accepted scholars for this Sapienza University of Rome scholarship will receive a subsidy of 3,000 EUR. Like the Don’t Miss Your Chance Scholarship, this value is at gross, before deductions of withholding taxes paid by the student and the university. 3. SSAS Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: Full tuition waiver, plus free in-campus residence.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Passing mark in SSAS admissions test
  • Degree Offered: Master’s, Ph.D.

The Sapienza School for Advanced Studies (SSAS) is a division of Sapienza that caters to the university’s top-notch enrollees in the fields of Social sciences, Life sciences, Technology, and Humanities. Accepted students in these courses under SSAS will receive a full tuition waiver of Sapienza’s standard curriculum, along with advanced interdisciplinary courses and activities. One-on-one mentorship is also provided to maximize learning, and additional scholarships are also available. An in-campus residence is also provided by the university at no added cost. Upon completion of the degree, graduates will receive two diplomas – one from the standard degree of study, and another from SSAS.

As the program in itself is a scholarship, there is no separate application needed. Students are chosen solely based on their performance in the admission test.
