All Degree Scholarships at Peking University

1. Chinese Government Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: full tuition fees, living allowance, accommodation, and medical insurance

  • Degree Offered: bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and Ph.D.

This scholarship is offered by the Chinese government and provides scholars with the opportunity to live and study in China for free! Candidates studying at any level can apply by filling out an application form and attaching the relevant documents. Applications are then to be submitted to the CSC website. Depending on what level you are studying at, you will receive between 2,500 Yuan and 3,500 Yuan monthly stipend.

Successful applicants are also provided with a dormitory at Zhongguanyuan Global Village. All rooms include a TV, so you can relax in between your studies. If you pass an annual evaluation, you will also be eligible to receive these awards each year you attend the university.

2. Peking University Scholarship

  • Eligibility Criteria: already enrolled in a course at the university
  • Degree Offered: bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and Ph.D.

Peking University offers another fully funded scholarship that ensures you do not need to worry about money throughout your studies. This scholarship is awarded to students who are currently enrolled at Peking University, studying at any level. They are looking for outstanding students to offer this scholarship to.

Awardees can receive a stipend between 2,000 and 3,000 per month depending on their level of study. On top of this, you are also covered for 800CNY medical insurance per year. You only need to complete a Scholarship Application form and send it to the university before the deadline to be eligible for this scholarship

3. Beijing Government Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: Full tuition fees
  • Eligibility Criteria: already enrolled in a course at the university
  • Degree Offered: bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and Ph.D.

Beijing University Scholarship was established by the Beijing Municipal government in 2006 and covers a student’s full tuition fees for one academic year. It is offered to students from all levels of study. So, if you are enrolling on a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate, you are eligible for the waiver. There are also several partial scholarships available that deduct either half of a quarter from your tuition fees.

To apply for this scholarship available at the Peking University, head to the school’s ‘Scholarship Application’ page on their website and complete a ‘Scholarship Application Form’, submit a photograph, and attach your signature. If you have not received any other tuition scholarship and are an international student, you have a chance of receiving the money.

4. Peking University Academic Excellence Scholarships: Undergraduate Academic

  • Scholarship Amount: 4,000RMB
  • Eligibility Criteria: starting in the second school year, passed all required classes with an average GPA of at least 3.0 and passed all controlled elective classes.

If you are currently enrolled and studying for your bachelor’s degree at Peking University, then this scholarship could help you out financially for the remainder of your course. The university is looking to award 4,000RMB to 15 students who can maintain a GPA of at least 3.0. Students must also have passed all their elective classes.

The money is awarded based on the recommendation of an individual department. After the recommendation, candidates must provide letters of recommendation, transcription of academic success, and an International Student proposal form.

Postgraduate Scholarships at Peking University

1. Peking University Academic Excellence Scholarships: Master’s Academic

  • Scholarship Amount: 5,000RMB
  • Eligibility Criteria: Superior grades, great research ability, and creative thought are all requisite.

All these Peking University Academic Excellence Scholarships follow the same guidelines. They are given to students currently enrolled at the university and who display outstanding attributes.

There are 15 of the master’s awards available each worth 5,000RMB. The individual department will recommend students who show creativity and original thought as well as academic success. The university specifies that awardees obey all Chinese Laws, university rules, have superior grades, and study hard. They are looking for remarkable students who will go on to make a difference.

2. Peking University Academic Excellence Scholarships: Doctorate Academic

  • Scholarship Amount: 10,000 or 5,000RMB
  • Eligibility Criteria: published a thesis at Peking University and published it in an official publication for your department at Peking University.

As well as undergraduate and master’s degree scholarships, the university also offers financial help to excellent doctorate students currently studying at the university. There are 2 doctorate awards offered in this Peking University scholarship. 1st prize is provided to only 5 students and is worth 10,000RMB and 2nd prize is worth 5,000 RMB and given to 10 students.

Doctoral students who apply for these prizes must have published their thesis. The thesis must have been created at Peking University and been published in an official publication for the chosen department.
