Students must present their academic credentials and financial need to qualify for the scholarships at New York University.

1. AnBryce Scholarships

The AnBryce Scholarship is one of the merit-based scholarships at New York University awarded to undergraduate U.S. residents and international students. Interested students must present their academic credentials and financial need upon applying to their chosen program. Once selected, they will receive a financial aid package that covers their tuition fees throughout their undergraduate degrees. In addition, the AnBryce Scholarship can be renewed provided that they meet and maintain the scholarship’s requirements.

2. Chesler Pre Law Scholarship

At New York University’s College of Arts and Sciences, the Chesler Scholarship is awarded to outstanding students in the junior year of their undergraduate degree. This scholarship program at New York University is available to international undergraduate students. They must be taking up a Pre-Law degree to qualify and must demonstrate strong academic credentials. In addition, they must be active in student leadership at the university (i.e., being a member of the student council, student organizations, etc.). In addition, they must uphold the College’s mission and vision to create a community filled with righteousness. An award of $5,000 will be given to selected candidates. Furthermore, Chesler Scholars are those who aim to study at a law school once they finish their undergraduate degree.

3. International Student Scholarship

International students who plan to pursue their Master’s degree in Global Affairs or Global Security, Conflict, and Cybercrime at New York University’s School of Professional Studies can apply for the International Student Scholarship program. They will be given an award of $5,000 to $10,000 annually for two years, which they can use to subsidize the cost of their education.

Graduate students at New York University are offered scholarships in the form of fellowships that can support them financially and at the same time, help them acquire significant academic and professional experiences.

For example, the Georgina and Charlotte Bloomberg Public Service Fellows Program aims to provide learning experiences for students taking their Master’s in Public Administration or Urban Planning. To qualify, students must express interest or passion in public service by working in any U.S. local and/or nonprofit organizations once they graduate. In addition, they must also demonstrate leadership skills, high problem-solving skills, and strong academic credentials. Once selected, fellows will receive full-tuition scholarship awards and will take part in a paid summer internship. Furthermore, undergraduate students in their junior year can also apply for this fellowship program. 5. Research and Teaching Assistantships

Graduate assistantship is one of the funding opportunities for graduate students at New York University. Each department has its assistantship employment program and students are encouraged to apply. Graduate students can reduce the cost of their tuition fees and receive living stipends through assistantships. They are required to teach, research and perform administrative tasks.

For example, the Wagner Graduate School of Public Service offers research and teaching assistantships to its graduate students, but mostly for Ph.D. students. Compensation for this academic employment varies by position. For graduate assistantships, students will be given partial tuition remission and a stipend; for research assistantships, compensation will depend on the funding source; and for teaching assistantships, hourly compensation will be provided. Each assistantship position has its own tasks and responsibilities that require a maximum of 20 hours a week for the whole academic year. In addition, eligibility varies by position.
