Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology Scholarships
Undergraduate Scholarships at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology
1. Stipend of the Charitable Foundation for the Development of Innovation Education
- Scholarship Amount: 12 000 RUB
- Eligibility Criteria: students in year 1-3 of their bachelor’s degree and have a low family income
- Degree Offered: bachelor’s degree

This stipend is for students currently studying at the university and achieving a high GPA or low income. Those with the highest GPA in Phystech school will be favored for this scholarship at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. You could also benefit from this scholarship if your family earns less than 6000 rubles (around $84) per month for each person in the family.
To apply for this scholarship, you must be enrolled at the university and submit an application form at the start of the semester. Applications are accepted through the Charitable Foundation’s website.
2. Stipend of the Moscow Government
- Scholarship Amount: 6500 RUB
- Eligibility Criteria: Undergraduate students in year 2-4 of study and studying in either, ‘Applied Mathematics and Physics’, ‘Applied Mathematics and Informatics’, or ‘Information Safety’
- Degree Offered: bachelor’s degree

This Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology scholarship is also for undergraduate students who are already enrolled in their bachelor’s course and are currently studying at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Applicants must also be studying within the fields of Applied Mathematics and Physics, Applied Mathematics and Informatics, or Information Safety.
To be eligible, you must have completed your first year and be in your 2nd-4th year of study. In which case, the university will be able to evaluate your academic progress. They will be looking to award the stipend to students with either ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ previous grades. The selection committee will also be looking for students who actively engage with important public events in Moscow.
3. MIPT Scholarship
- Scholarship Amount: currently undisclosed
- Eligibility Criteria: international students who can display a superior academic ability

The university offers this scholarship to students who can demonstrate academic excellence. It is only open to outstanding international students who have a real passion to study at the university. The awards are provided on a competitive basis to the most impressive students studying for their undergraduate degree.

1. Government Scholarship
- Scholarship Amount: Full tuition fee waiver and a monthly stipend
- Eligibility Criteria: students who have been accepted to study on a course at the university

2. Students Financial Aid
- Scholarship Amount: regular monthly stipend
- Eligibility Criteria: international students studying at the university

The Students Financial Aid stipend provides students with a regular monthly payment as a living allowance. Successful applicants are selected based on academic performance.
If you are interested in applying for this stipend, you will need to include, your application form, a copy of your passport, documents from previous education, and a copy of a medical report as part of the application. You will also need to ensure that all the documents are translated into Russian, and this can be confirmed by a notary.
3. Enhanced Academic Scholarship
- Scholarship Amount: 15 400 RUB (12 400 RUB for bachelor’s degree students)
- Eligibility Criteria: studying at the university in either the 4th year of a bachelor’s course or a master’s degree
- Degree Offered: master’s (and 4th-year bachelor’s degree students)

This Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology scholarship is for students either in the final year of a bachelor’s degree or about to complete a master’s degree. It is intended for those who have achievements in the categories of, Education, Science and Research, Social activities, Art and Culture, and Sport. Fourth-year undergraduate students are entitled to 12 400 RUB, where master’s students can receive up to 15 400 RUB. Applications are accepted at the start of the semester and your documents should be submitted via the university’s online portal.
