Undergraduate Scholarships at Khalifa University

1. President’s Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: up to 100% tuition fees reduction

The President’s Scholarship is Khalifa University’s most competitive and prestigious scholarship granted for international undergraduate students. Applicants need to achieve ‘Full Admission’ status to qualify for the offer, and they get this status by meeting the above-mentioned minimum score levels.

Applicants’ eligibility is immediately assessed for this offer. However, students may be contacted if the university needs more details. Accepted scholars will have to maintain a cumulate GPA (CGPA) of at least 3.3 to keep the scholarship. Those with 3.3 and above CGPA enjoy a 100% tuition fee reduction. Scholars with a CGPA of 3.0 – 3.29 are entitled to a 75% tuition fee waiver. Lastly, those with a CGPA of 2.0 – 2.99 get 50% off tuition fees. These benefits apply to both the college of engineering and the college of science students.

2. Khalifa University Scholarship

    • College of Science Scholarship – up to 75% tuition fees reduction
    • College of Engineering Scholarship – up to 50% tuition fees reduction

Khalifa University applicants who met the minimum EMSAT scores are eligible and automatically evaluated for the Khalifa University Scholarship. They will also receive ‘Full Admission’ status for reaching the said levels. Scholars must maintain a CGPA of at least 3.0 while studying at Khalifa University.

These University of Khalifa scholarship benefits also vary per CGPA and college. These are partial scholarships; thus, the highest discount they can get is 50% for those from the college of engineering and 75% for college of science students. To get the highest discount rates, they need to have a CGPA of more than 3.0. Those with a CGPA of at least 2.0 to 2.99 may enjoy up to 50% off their tuition fees, depending on their CGPA and college.

3. Self-pay Scholarship

    • College of Science Scholarship – 30% tuition fees reduction
    • College of Engineering Scholarship – 20% tuition fees reduction

The Khalifa University Self-pay Scholarship is intended to help ease the burden of financial costs on students. International undergraduate students are evaluated for this offer along with their university application. Should they be accepted as scholars, they must keep a CGPA of 3.8 or higher to enjoy a 20% – 30% tuition fees discount, depending on which college they are enrolled in.

Postgraduate Scholarships at Khalifa University

1. Master Research Teaching Scholarship (MRTS)

2. Combined Master/Doctoral Research Training Scholarship (CMDRTS)

International students who plan to take both master’s and doctorate studies at Khalifa University may qualify for this scholarship. The specifics about the benefits are like the Master Research Teaching Scholarship, and students planning to take only master’s studies should only apply for the MRTS.

For CMDRTS, scholars may have free accommodation within the university or accommodation assistance worth AED 2,000 if they do not qualify for within the university. Master’s students also receive AED 8,000 monthly stipend while Ph.D. students enjoy AED 12,000 allowance.

3. Doctoral Research Teaching Scholarship (DRTS)
