Seton Hill University was initially founded in 1885 as Seton Hills Schools, consisting of the conservatory of music and arts. It wasn’t until 1918 that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania approved the university as a 4-year higher learning institution. The university started as a college for young women only but has now grown to be co-educational, with over 2000 students and more than 80 programs.
