Although established in 1981, its history goes further to 1912, making it one of South Korea’s most prestigious universities. The university originated from the Pierson Memorial Union Bible Institute and has since undergone numerous name changes till it became Pyeongtaek University. As of recent, PTU has dedicated most of its efforts to becoming the best university in South Korea in terms of ICT education and capabilities.
