The Emory College Woodruff Scholars program is among the three scholarship programs that Emory University offers to its undergraduate students. There are four programs under Emory College Woodruff Scholars: the Woodruff Scholarship, Woodruff Dean’s Achievement Scholarship, George W. Multiple Dean’s Achievement Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students. Oxford College offers a variety of scholarships, loans, and student employment opportunities to its undergraduate students. In addition, international students are also eligible for some of their scholarships, given that they went through the Coalition Application and applied under the university’s Regular Decision plan. Each of the above-designated schools has a Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholars Program Liaison to guide and help scholars throughout their academic careers at Emory University. Scholars are expected to honor Letti Pate Whitehead’s attributes, such as having a sense of duty and having a gracious and generous spirit. In addition, they participate in annual academic lectures, service projects, and professional development programs granted by the scholarship program.

5. Rollins Earn and Learn (REAL)

For over ten years, Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health has offered work opportunities for graduate students in their program, Rollins Earn and Learn (REAL). Students are granted opportunities to work in public health areas to meet public health competencies and have real-world classroom training and thesis opportunities. At the same time, they earn up to $6,000 per year or $3,000 per semester. In addition, they must work up to 400 hours per semester through the unifying partner agencies and organizations that endow them with these possibilities. REAL partners include 150 federal, state, agencies, non-profit and for-profit organizations in the United States and Atlanta.

Under REAL employment, the students can advance their programs and establish meaningful relationships and connections that will last them a lifetime. International students are eligible to work after they are admitted to the Rollins School of Public Health. Admission and awards are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

6. Laney Graduate School Advanced Student Fellowships

Doctoral students at the Laney Graduate School are offered various advanced student fellowship programs. These Emory University scholarship programs give them opportunities to research, design, and work on their chosen field of study. Generally, fellowships take about nine months before the end, and fellows are given a stipend of $23,831 with a 100 percent subsidy for the Emory University Student Health Insurance (EUSHIP).

One of the fellowship programs is the Anne & Bill Newton Fellowship. Through this, the lucky awarded advanced graduate student will research, design, and assess different instructional curriculum that can be used in the Rose Library exhibitions in the university’s undergraduate courses. The fellow is also expected to maximize their potentials, such as teaching, writing, and research skills, to select and organize exhibitions related to the Rose Library’s collections for a campus-wide discussion.
