Like most of the countries in the European Union, the Eindhoven University of Technology and other Dutch applied science and research universities offered a scholarship grant to international students residing outside the European Economic Area. Named the Holland Scholarship for International Students, this scholarship grant is mainly sponsored by the Dutch government through the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science.

This Eindhoven University of Technology scholarship grant is competitive and granted to only a few applicants who exhibit academic excellence in their undergraduate studies. There are no separate applications required for the scholarship grant, with eligible students automatically screened upon application for postgraduate admission.

2. Amandus H. Lundqvist Scholarship Program (ALSP)

  • Scholarship Amount: Financial Assistance worth of approximately €10,000 (inclusive of tuition fee waivers and living allowance)
  • Eligibility Criteria: International Students graduated from a Bachelor’s degree outside Netherlands, with a cumulative average of above 80%

In honor of the former Eindhoven University of Technology president, the Amandus H. Lundqvist Scholarship Program awards international students with academic merit of a scholarship grant for any master’s degree offered by the university.

As a highly competitive scholarship grant at the Eindhoven University of Technology, interested students are screened based on their academic performance during their undergraduate degree with a requirement of a cumulative average above 80%. An applicant’s personality is also one of the points considered by the screening committee. A specialized questionnaire will be administered to applicants evaluating their personality and capability to socialize with other students on the campus.

Students are not required to process a separate application for this scholarship. Applicants with remarkable grades are nominated by the department heads to advance into further screening procedures. Nominees are shortlisted and the scholarship grant will only be awarded to a handful of applications with outstanding academic and personal profiles.

3. The Desmond Fortes Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: Full tuition-fee waiver, visa costs, and return flight
  • Eligibility Criteria: International students in selected countries currently employed in FMO’s client network
  • Degree Offered: Master’s Degree in Sustainable Development and Green Finance

FMO Entrepreneurial Development Bank is a Duch finance institution dedicated to encouraging sustainable development through investments. In honor of a late FMO colleague Desmond Fortes, a scholarship named after him is awarded to students dedicated to extending his advocacy for green finance and investments to sustainable development.

Applicants for a master’s degree in Sustainable Urban Mobility Transitions at the Eindhoven University of Technology are eligible to apply for this external scholarship. The applicant’s current employment status to any FMO’s client network is also considered for eligibility for the scholarship. And to increase green financing initiatives in developing countries, only applicants from selected countries are eligible to apply.

4. NXP scholarship on ‘Millimeter Wave Wireless Technology’

  • Scholarship Amount: Scholarship of €5000 in the first year
  • Eligibility Criteria: International students finishing a pre-masters program
  • Degree Offered: Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

As wireless technology became a relevant study nowadays, the NXP Foundation collaborated with Eindhoven University of Technology and other Dutch universities to offer the NXP scholarship on Millimeter Wave Wireless Technology. Students advancing to a master’s degree in electrical engineering, specializing in Microwave Engineering, RF Electronics, Data Converters, Antennas, and Signal Processing for millimeter-wave wireless communications and radar systems are all funded by the scholarship program.

To apply for this Eindhoven University of Technology scholarship, interested applicants need to submit their academic credentials and a three-minute video pitch to further support and explain their application for the scholarship. These requirements can be sent via email to NXP Foundation.

Successful applicants will be eligible to receive a scholarship grant of €5000 in the first year of their master’s degree.   • Eligibility Criteria: International students with remarkable extracurricular activities showing drive for personal development

Known to be a competitive scholarship available at the Eindhoven University of Technology, the ASML Technology Scholarship Program offers financial and academic support to competent applicants venturing into the field of nanotechnology and related studies through a postgraduate degree program.

Students are required to have a grade point average of at least 7.5 to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
