1. Churches Together Hardship Fund

  • Scholarship Amount: 1,000 GBP.
  • Eligibility Criteria: International students facing sudden financial challenges during their last year of study.

The Churches Together Hardship Fund was established by Churches Commission in the year 1990. The award was intended for international students facing sudden financial challenges during their last year of study. Accepted students will receive up to 1,000 GBP. Grants are given out three times a year. As such, students must ensure applications are submitted on time for use in the next semester.

2. Undergraduate Territory Award

  • Scholarship Amount: free accommodation.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Self-funded international students from select countries; First-year undergraduate students; Paid the deposit of 4,000 GBP within the prescribed deadline.

Created in partnership with FutureLets, the Undergraduate Territory Award supports self-funded international students from select countries by providing free accommodations for a year. Coventry University awards this scholarship to freshmen applicants, provided they are students from overseas under fee-paying status. To be eligible for the award, students simply have to submit their deposit of 4,000 GBP within the prescribed deadline.

This scholarship available at Coventry University is limited and is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. It cannot be used in combination with any other university scholarships or discounts. Students who receive this award must be willing to represent the university as a student ambassador, which involves providing promotional information for university use.

3. International Academic Excellence Award

  • Scholarship Amount: 2,000 GBP.
  • Eligibility Criteria: International first-year undergraduate students enrolled in Coventry University in Coventry, Coventry University London, CU Coventry, and CU Scarborough campuses; academic marks of 70% or equivalent.

The International Academic Excellence Award is a merit-based award to aid deserving international first-year undergraduate students in their studies. Interested students from select countries with academic marks of 70% or equivalent may be automatically considered for the award after they successfully enroll in the Coventry University in Coventry, Coventry University London, CU Coventry, and CU Scarborough campuses. Students taking up Pathway courses at one of the university’s partner institutions will also be considered.

The award cannot be used in combination with any other university scholarships or discounts. Students who receive this award must be willing to represent the university as a student ambassador, which involves providing promotional information for university use.

Postgraduate Scholarships at Coventry University

1. #JoinYourAIFuture Data Science Scholarships

  • Scholarship Amount: 10,000 GBP
  • Eligibility Criteria: International students enrolling in MSc Data Science course.

The #JoinYourAIFuture Data Science Scholarships is a national movement to encourage the study of AI and data-related courses among diverse groups. Coventry University offers this scholarship in hopes to address the country’s shortage of data specialists. 1,000 scholarships are made available by the Office for Students, distributed across universities in the UK. Coventry University’s MSc Data Science is part of the courses covered by the scholarship.

Interested applicants may apply online, and submit a personal statement of not more than 500 words explaining why they deserve the scholarship, citing personal circumstances and career aspirations as applicable. These will be reviewed using a points system, with priority to applicants who fall under underrepresented groups.

Accepted applicants will be awarded a scholarship of 10,000 GBP, paid out in installments per semester of the study.

2. Postgraduate Territory Award

  • Scholarship Amount: 1,500 GBP.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Self-funded international students from select countries; First-year graduate students; Paid the deposit of 4,000 GBP within the prescribed deadline.

The Postgraduate Territory Award aims to subsidize costs of school fees by granting a 1,500 GBP subsidy to eligible international students. The award is catered to freshmen graduate applicants of the university, provided they are under overseas fee-paying status. Students from select countries who successfully enroll in postgraduate studies in the Coventry University in Coventry, Coventry University London, CU Coventry, or CU Scarborough campuses, and pay a deposit of 4,000 GBP within a set deadline will be automatically considered for the award.

3. Alumni Discount

  • Scholarship Amount: 20% tuition waiver.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Self-funded alumni of Coventry University for undergraduate studies.

The Alumni Discount rewards returning alumni who wish to pursue further studies with Coventry University. A discount of 20% on tuition fees is given to first-time postgraduate students applying to either part-time or full-time graduate courses, with no other scholarship. The discount is automatically given upon enrollment – no further applications are needed.
