This Charles Darwin University scholarship grant is offered to students who have secured an offer for any bachelor’s degree offered in the university. On that note, applicants must attain the minimum admission requirements on English proficiency and academic cut-offs to be eligible for the scholarship. Aside from this, the students must be financially capable of paying their international tuition fees throughout their studies. A minimum score of at least 95% in the applicant’s highest completed qualification is also asked for when applying for the program.

2. CDU Global Excellence Award

Valuing the cultural diversity of the academic community within Charles Darwin University, the CDU Global Excellence Award aims to attract and encourage international students manifesting the highest standards of academic excellence and dedication to further their studies through Australian schooling.

Like other undergraduate scholarship programs offered by the university, applicants for this scholarship program need to satisfy the minimum admission requirements set forth by the university’s admission office. Applicants for this scholarship must also demonstrate the financial capacity to sustain their studies, as they will be paying the obligatory international tuition fees of the university. To avoid overlapping responsibilities with the agencies, applicants must not be a recipient of any Australian government-sponsored scholarship or similar foreign aid to qualify for the scholarship program.

The CDU Global Leader Award is a scholarship to be enjoyed by international students holding an offer to a postgraduate coursework degree, both master’s and doctoral degrees in any field of study. To be eligible for this award, students must demonstrate the financial capacity to fulfill the international tuition fee as mandated by the university. Applicants must also attain a certain level of English proficiency and have attained at least a 70% overall grade in their highest completed qualification. And as a leadership merit-based scholarship grant, applicants must also demonstrate leadership attributes and outstanding community or industry-based engagement.

Applicants meeting the following criteria will be assessed by the selection committee, and qualified applicants will automatically receive a 25% tuition fee reduction to their first year of study. This scholarship can also be availed in the succeeding academic year if students enrolled at least 40 credit units, maintained a minimum GPA of 4.5, and have no failing grade in any credit units. Students eligible for the scholarship in their succeeding years will receive a 10% tuition fee reduction.

2. Garth and Lorna Robertson Scholarship in Social Sciences

  • Scholarship Amount: Scholarship grant of $2,500, given as $1,250 per semester

Garth and Lorna Robertson, the benefactors of this scholarship, were Darwin residents who dedicated their lives to community service and advocating for social justice for all people – regardless of their age, race, gender, and creed. Lorna Robertson, an alumnus of Charles Darwin University, has been passionate about helping disadvantaged students intending to pursue a degree in Social Science. With this, the Garth and Lorna Robertson Scholarship in Social Sciences was born.

Students holding an offer to a master’s degree in the Charles Darwin University to specific fields of specialization relating to social sciences are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Applicants must also demonstrate an explicitly financial, cultural, or social disadvantage to applying for this grant. Other qualities such as having an appropriate academic record and having demonstrated passion for working in the field of social sciences are also searched within the applicants.
