Postgraduate Scholarships at Central Queensland University

1. Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: $32,000 per annum

The Research Training Program Stipend Scholarship is a government scholarship for 1st and 2nd-year research students to help with their living costs. To be eligible, applicants must either provide that they can travel to Australia or already live in Australia since the scholarship benefits are only granted when the scholar is residing in the country. Scholars must also not be receiving income from other sources, or if they do, such income must not be more than 75% of their stipend rate.

There are no direct application methods, as potential applicants are invited to apply by the School of Graduate Research. They may relay their interest to their supervisory team, who may recommend them to the said school. They must also submit a written submission with their application. Applicants will be evaluated based on academic achievements, writing skills, quality of research and its alignment, and evidence of motivation and research experience.

For the application, interested students may select a research higher degree on the qualified research strength areas. Prospective supervisors must also approve their Expression of Interest for the course and location before they file their application for study at Central Queensland University. 4. Capstone Editing Conference Travel Grant for Postgraduate Research Students

The Capstone Editing Conference Travel Grant is intended to fund postgraduate students’ expenses to attend an important and beneficial conference. The scholarship amount may be used for flight, accommodation, and registration costs. Thus, to apply, interested students must include an itinerary, budget, and letter of support from the supervisor.
