Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Brunel University London, the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (CHMLS) offered the Dean’s Occupational Therapy Scholarship & the Dean’s Physiotherapy (Physical Therapy) Scholarship for international students with an admission offer to an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences. This scholarship supports international students financially through a yearly tuition fee waiver.

Annually, approximately 20 BSc Occupational Therapy and 20 BSc Physiotherapy applicants are awarded the scholarship grant. The scholarship program also opted to add 20 new slots available for students of Life Sciences courses – including BSc Life Sciences and BSc Environmental Sciences. Applicants for this scholarship must be enrolled full-time in any of the mentioned eligible undergraduate degree programs.

As an entrance scholarship at Brunel University London, there will be no separate scholarship application required. Thus all students will be screened for eligibility to receive the scholarship grant. A designated Course Admissions Tutor will screen the applicants based on their academic merit and relevant engagements to health and life sciences. The Course Admissions Tutor will then endorse the qualified applicants to the Admissions Scholarship Team to notify qualified applicants via email.

Upon acceptance of the scholarship grant, applicants will receive a tuition fee waiver of £2,000 every academic year, subject to renewal terms and conditions. Grantees will also have the opportunity to represent the Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Life Sciences program as an ambassador by engaging in opportunities in sharing experiences of professional education at Brunel. This scholarship shall also not be received in conjunction with other internally funded scholarship grants.

2. Brunel Medical School International Scholarship

Supporting aspiring medical students from different parts of the world, the Brunel Medical School offers the Brunel Medical School International Scholarship that provides financial assistance to qualified international students with an admission offer to the Bachelors of Medicine – Bachelors of Surgery (MBBS) program.

Being a competitive merit-based scholarship program, the Brunel Medical School will only select five grantees from the applicants per academic year. The selection will be based on assessing each applicant’s academic merit and scores in the series of panel interviews. Underrepresentation is also taken into consideration in ranking all the applicants for endorsement.

International students passing the admission requirements for the MBBS program will be ranked based on their scores in their admission Virtual Multiple Mini Interview. Top-ranking applicants will be invited to a closed-door scholarship interview to assess the applicant’s personal and professional goals upon completion of the program through the scholarship grant. Shortlisted applicants will then proceed to a short presentation and discussion session with the Scholarship Application Panel of Brunel Medical School.

After the assessment of applications, qualified applicants will be notified via email to accept the scholarship offer. Upon acceptance of the offer, grantees will receive a tuition fee waiver of £6,000 for five years. Aside from this, the grantees will act as ambassadors to the BMS MBBS program, where grantees can share their experiences in the program. This scholarship grant should also not be received in conjunction with other scholarship grants at Brunel University London.

3. College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences (CEDPS) Academic Excellence Scholarship

Aiming to attract international students with demonstrated academic excellence to Brunel University London, the College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences offers its Academic Excellence Scholarship award, supporting full-time undergraduate students through cash grants.

The College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences (CEDPS) Academic Excellence Scholarship is a merit-based unlimited scholarship grant at Brunel University London open to FHEQ Level 4 (Year 1) undergraduate students of any bachelor’s degree program offered in the said college. International students vying for a slot in this scholarship should have an International Baccalaureate Diploma with 33 points or above.

Postgraduate Scholarships at Brunel University London

1. British Council Scholarship for Women in STEM

The British Council aims to empower more female students to become involved in STEM industries. With this, together with Brunel University London, the British Council Scholarship for Women in STEM is offered to international female students to take any master’s degree relating to STEM industries.

International students from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Aiding international students with an outstanding academic performance from least developed, low, and lower-middle-income Commonwealth countries, Brunel University London offers the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship, with partial funding from the Commonwealth of Nations.
