1. Nagoya City University

One of Japan's best universities is Nagoya City University. It does not just outrank other Japanese universities; it has also established itself among the world's best. Global rankings, such as those by the Times Higher Education and US News, include the university in the assessments. NCU has four campuses: Sakurayama, Takiko, Tanabe-dori, and Kita Chikusa. It has a broad range of courses, from the humanities to the health sciences. The university caters to both undergraduate and graduate students.

2. Nagoya Women’s University

Nagoya Women's University is a women's institute with a very long and traditional history. The predecessor of this university was founded in 1915 by Haru Koshihara, a Japanese educator and politician who was elected among the pioneer group of women selected in the house of representatives in 1946. This university follows the path of its founder, whose unofficial slogan is "kindness," as that is the only way to educate the future of Japan.  

3. Doho University

Nagoya Gakuin University is a private university located in Nagoya, Japan. Its history dates back to the founding of the Aichi English School in 1887, but the current university was founded in 1964. Furthermore, NGU has exchange agreements with universities in eight countries around the world.

8. Daido University

Daido University is a private university located in Nagoya, Japan. It was founded in 1939 as the Daido Technical-Educational Foundation and renamed the Daido Institute of Technology in 1969. The university provides undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate engineering programs, including Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, as well as information science programs.

9. Nagoya College of Music

Nagoya College of Music was first founded as a junior college in 1965, along with its Department of Music. It officially became a college with a fully established Faculty of Music in 1976.
