Tajen University was established as a five-year junior college in 1966 known as Tajen Pharmacy Institute. Since then, it has undergone numerous transformations and became the Tajen University of Technology in 2005, offering four-year bachelor’s degree college programs as well as bachelor programs for graduates of junior college and junior college programs for high school graduates. The university does this in line with its vision of propagating life-long learning as an institution and becoming an excellent institution of higher learning.
2. Meiho University
Meiho University was established in 1966 as the first private nursing junior college in Taiwan, with around 300 students and only one department, the nursing department. The school is now made up of three colleges; the College of Health and Nursing, the College of Business and Management, and the College of Human Ecology; with nearly 9000 students.
