It is actually the largest technical university in Sweden that is made of 5 schools with 4 campuses. Additionally, it isn’t just the largest technical university but also the highest-ranked technical university in Sweden.
This prestigious university is held to an extremely high standard and is currently ranked among the world’s top 100 universities. KTH Royal Institute of Technology Scholarships
Undergraduate Scholarships at KTH Royal Institute of Technology
1. Go Digital Scholarship Program
- Scholarship Amount: Up to $1,000
- Eligibility Criteria: Open to all nationals. The applicant must already be a student or must be in the process of enrollment at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. They must also meet the minimum grade point average requirements, provide proof of personal and academic achievements, and submit a plagiarism-free essay on the required topics.
- Scholarship Link
This is an achievement-based scholarship available at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The basis will not only be the student’s achievements but also their participation in the program. They will also be required to submit an original essay with 2,500 – 3,700 words on the given topics. There will be two winning candidates, with the first-place prize being a $1,000 grant and second place being $500, that will be sent to the institute by cheque.
An applicant is only allowed to submit one essay. Any more submissions from the same person will not be considered. The essay must be submitted via email before December 1st, along with all the required supporting documents.
The grant may be used to pay for tuition fees, student housing, and book expenses.
Postgraduate Scholarships at KTH Royal Institute of Technology
1. KTH Scholarship
- Scholarship Amount: Full tuition fees
- Eligibility Criteria: Open to all nationals. To be considered eligible, the applicant must already be an existing student enrolled in their priority Master’s program or have met the requirements for their program and have received an offer of admission into the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The applicant must also be considered academically excellent and have the achievements to prove this.

Eligible applicants will be assessed based on their academic standing, the ranking of the university where the applicant acquired their Bachelor’s degree, the applicant’s extra-curricular activity participation, and the applicant’s letter of motivation.
This KTH Royal Institute of Technology scholarship is initially awarded for one year. Still, it is possible to be granted for up to a maximum of two years, depending on the student’s academic performance during their first year. This scholarship is only applicable to selected programs.
The application period starts on December 1st, and all applications must be submitted before January 17th.
2. KTH One-Year Scholarship
- Scholarship Amount: Full tuition fees
- Eligibility Criteria: Open to all nationals. To be considered eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must already be an existing student enrolled in a Master’s degree at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and is entering their second year of study.
- Degree Offered: Master’s

This KTH Royal Institute of Technology scholarship is only awarded to current students enrolled in a Master’s program at KTH who have achieved excellent academic results during their first year.
This scholarship only covers the full tuition fees for the student’s second year of study. The grant does not cover living expenses.
The period for applications will open on April 1st, and all applications must be submitted before April 15th. Late application submissions will not be considered.
