The University of Finance North Rhine-Westphalia was established in 1958 as a state university of applied sciences in public administration. It was formerly known as the Finance Academy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, which later became a university of applied sciences. The university trains future tax administration professionals and offers dual study in partnership with the University of Applied Sciences for Finance Nordkirchen.
