The University College Birmingham started as the College of Bakery, Catering, Domestic Science, and Associated Studies, when it parted with its original school, Birmingham’s Municipal Technical School. In 1957, It was later renamed Birmingham College of Food and Domestic Arts. It received its ‘university status’ in 2007.
