Located in Toronto and established in 2018, the Université de l’Ontario français (UOF) is of great political importance to the province of Ontario. The creation of the university marked a tremendous victory for French-speaking Ontario residents in their bid to establish a French-language university in the region. It is one of the fastest-growing francophone universities in Canada and is expected to develop tremendously as huge sums of money have been set aside by the government of Ontario and Canada to finance the university’s growth for up to eight years.
