Initially established as Lawasri School in 1920, Thepsatri Rajabhat University (TRU) has undergone numerous transformations and evolutions to become the comprehensive university it is today. The two notable points in its history were in 1995, were it evolved from a college into an institute, and in 2004 when it gained university status under the Rajabhat Act. In terms of its goals, TRU’s goals are like most conventional universities. But while the university has the general mission of promoting development through innovation and knowledge dissemination, as a Rajabhat university, its purpose is also to produce teachers and strengthen the teaching profession.
