Muteesa I Royal University is a duly accredited higher education institution in Uganda. It was established in 2007 and was chartered in March 2024. The university has three campuses. Its main campus is in the vibrant city of Masaka. The second campus is in Mengo Hill in Buganda, while the other is in the town of Mubende. The university was named after a distinguished monarch, Kabaka Muteesa I of Buganda, for his significant contributions to the country’s education.
