The Muhammadiyah University of Jember was established in 1981 in Jember as one of the many colleges operated by the Muhammadiyah association in Indonesia. It envisions itself as an internationally-recognized institution for education and research in different fields of science and technology. The university has nine faculties that offer high-quality programs focused on developing human resources that can contribute to the economic, social, and spiritual development of the nation.
