Lincoln Bishop University: Rankings
Lincoln Bishop University, previously known as Bishop Grosseteste University, was founded in 1862 as Lincoln Diocesan Training School for Mistresses. LBU obtained its ‘university-college status’ in 2006, it was then named Bishop Grosseteste University College or BGCU. It was awarded its ‘university’ title in 2012 and, finally, renamed Bishop Grosseteste University in December of 2013. BGU only has one campus, which is situated in Lincoln. In 2025, Bishop Grosseteste University was reanmed to be Lincoln Bishop University.
