Laikipia University is located in Nyahururu, formerly Thomson Falls, a town in Kenya. The university’s rich history dates back to 1929 when it was established as a primary school on a large farm. From a primary school, it transitioned to become the Large-Scale Farmers Training College in 1965 and was under the administration of the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry. It underwent several transitions and transformations until it became a fully-fledged university in 2013.
