Kisii University: Tuition, Admissions, Rankings
Kisii University was founded in 1965 as a primary teachers’ training college, which was then upgraded to a secondary teachers’ college offering diploma programs. This university is among Kenya’s earliest educational institutions created by the then Head of State, HE Daniel Arap Moi. The campus sits on an expansive 61-acre land donated by the County Council of Gusii. Following a string of upgrades and transformations, the university received its chartered university status in 2013, making it the 13th public university in the country at the time.
