Jinggangshan University was originally founded in 1958. Also known as JGSU, it closed in 1963 and was reinstated in 1978 when Jiangxi Medical University and Jiangxi Normal University merged. It was officially renamed Jinggangshan University in March of 2000. JGSU offers a variety of programs such as law, sciences, languages, business, engineering, information technology, education, etc.
