The Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora (ITSON), or Sonora Institute of Technology in English, is a public university in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico. It was founded in 1955 as the Justo Sierra Institute as a preparatory school. It became a public university in 1964. ITSON has branches in Guaymas, Empalme, and Navojoa. Undergraduate and postgraduate programs are available in business, tourism, education, design, accounting, technology, engineering, and medicine.
