The Gansu University of Chinese Medicine was founded in 1978 through its predecessor institution, the Gansu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Since then, the university has built four campuses and started offering degree programs in Medicine, Economics, Science, and Management. It has more than 17,000 students and over 900 faculty members.
