These institutions are the Far Eastern University, Asia Pacific Computer Technology Center (APCTC), and Intelligent Wave, Inc. APCTC was established by SM Foundation and IBM Philippines, which are large business entities in the country. Thus, although FEU Tech is separately recognized, it is still directly connected to Far Eastern University and operates under its guidance.
FEU Tech was primarily founded to be a computer school. It was only in 2001 that there was an addition of engineering courses. Thus, the institute now specializes in these two disciplines only.
