Ms. Cha Mirisa established the university to cultivate the spirit of self–reliance, independence, and self-awareness in Korean women. The university has developed into one of the leading single-gender educational institutions. It is notable for its emphasis on nurturing women with a strong sense of righteousness, professionalism, and creativity.
DSWU operates two campuses in Seoul, Korea, with the main campus located at the foot of Mt. Bukhan National Park, providing students with access to varied mountain activities like rock climbing and hiking. The second campus is located in the heart of downtown Seoul in proximity to beautiful, traditional, and ancient palaces.
