The College of Sonora, or El Colegio de Sonora in Spanish, was founded in 1982 through a constitutional act in Hermosillo, Mexico. It was established to decentralize research and higher education, meeting the region’s needs. The college has four research centers in various fields: Development Studies, Health and Society Studies, and Government and Public Affairs. Since its foundation, the college has produced more than 530 graduates.
