The Catholic University of Pernambuco is a private Catholic university in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. It was founded in 1951 as an expansion of the region’s first Catholic school, Manoel da Nóbrega College of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters, which was founded in 1943 by the Jesuits of the northeast region. Undergraduate and postgraduate programs are available in law, social sciences, engineering, business, architecture, and medicine.
