Autonomous Indigenous University of Mexico (UAIM), previously known as the Autonomous Intercultural University of Sinaloa, is a university founded in 2001 that brands the colors Green and Gold. It has seven academic units that offer programs at Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate levels. These programs are specialized in three fields of study: Rural Sociology, Popular Culture, and Community Development.

Furthermore, the education of AIUM revolves around the mission and vision of social commitment, cultural diversity, and a focus on scientific and technological research. Its recipients hold these at heart and also show them outside the academic field, such as in sports, cultural, and artistic activities.
