The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus has a history that can be traced back to 1958, with the establishment of the Minsk branch of the distance learning faculty of the Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR. It received its current name in 1995. Today, the academy offers university-type higher education, offering undergraduate and graduate programs in a range of disciplines. Graduates of the institute work in different parts of the country, occupying different roles in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, recognized with state awards and titles.
