Anhui University of Science and Technology was founded in 1945. Its predecessor was the Bengbu Advanced Industrial and Professional Training School of Anhui Province. The university established two additional departments, the Department of Mining Engineering and the Department of Geology, in 1971. Throughout the years, Anhui University of Science and Technology continuously expanded and now offers different programs such as management, arts, sciences, and engineering, among others.
